NES 02/10/25 Family Newsletter
02/10/25

Dear NES Families,
Thank you to all of the parents that participated in APTT and important data chats with your student's teachers! We were excited to see how many parents met with teachers or had phone conferences to review student data. Our last APTT meetings will be in April.
We are still having some confusion about the tardy bell and what time students need to be in class. Students should be IN THE CLASSROOM by 8:10AM in order to be considered "on time." Parents coming in the parking lot at 8:09AM do not have time to get the students unloaded and to class on time. We allow drop offs as early as 7:30AM this year. The first bell rings at 7:50AM. The goal should be to be at school by 7:50AM. The "grace period" is between 7:50AM and 8:09AM. Please aim to have your child in the line by 7:50AM, this will alleviate any chance that you are in line to drop off when the bell rings and your student will be tardy. The parking lot gate is not closed due to not having enough space to turn around and backing traffic up into the street if someone needs to turn around. We are trusting our parents to be aware of the time and please work to get your student here on time each day. Every minute counts for instruction!
If your student's class is attending a field trip, please make sure you have signed the permission slip and made any required payments in order for them to attend. Second grade and fourth grade have field trips this week, please make sure to reach out to your child's teacher if they do not have permissions slips signed!
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and we will see students back on Monday!
GOOOOO TIGERS!!!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Jessica Lowe, Principal
Mrs. Heather Briney, Assistant Principal
