The halfway point of the first marking period is Friday, September 26th. On Friday, September 26th your students' grades should be up to date in PowerSchool. Please make sure to check your students' PowerSchool to check on their progress. If you have questions, please reach out to your students' teacher.
Fall Conferences
An important parent-school activity that occurs each fall is our Parent-Teacher Conference. This is your opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and discuss progress this year and shared expectations.
Please note: October 15 is a half day for all elementary students to accommodate conferences.
Here is the upcoming schedule for our conferences:
- October 14 – Evening Conferences (5:00-8:00 p.m.)
- October 15 – Afternoon or evening conferences 1-4pm, 5-8pm (this will be a half day for our students)
More information on how to sign up for conferences will be sent shortly.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Jack Harvey Class Shirts
We are excited to introduce our NEW Jack Harvey class shirts! We want to make sure all of our Eagles have a shirt this school year to wear for special events, and spirit days. If you wish to purchase a shirt please fill out the form attached and return it to the office with cash.
Character Strong September- Respect
This month, our school community is focusing on the character trait of Respect. Respect means seeing value in people, places, and things, and treating them with care. It’s about recognizing the worth of others, listening to different perspectives, and showing kindness in our words and actions.
Throughout September, students will participate in lessons, discussions, and activities that help them understand and practice respect at school, at home, and in the community. Together, we’ll learn that respect can be as simple as listening when someone else is speaking, taking care of our classroom and school materials, or treating others the way we would like to be treated.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by asking questions like:
What does respect look like, sound like, and feel like?
How can you show respect to a friend, teacher, or family member today?
Why is respect important in building strong relationships?
You can also read the monthly newsletter below for more ideas on how to incorporate learning about respect at home.
Let’s work together to build a culture where respect guides our choices and strengthens our school community!
