President's Corner
Happy April! This issue of the Violet's Voice is packed full of wonderful news and events, so I'm going to keep my letter brief. Whether you are observing Passover, Easter, or Ramadan...or simply enjoying the spring season, I wish you all the very best. For our active teachers, I hope your April break is relaxing and that you get a chance to recharge your batteries by doing something that makes your soul happy. I look forward to seeing many of you at our Fun Night on May 4th!
All my love,
Charlotte Zenzick

in memoriam
Sadly, we recently lost a trailblazer in Connecticut with the passing of Antonina "Ann" Uccello, our state's first female mayor. Ann was a former teacher and served as the mayor of Hartford from 1967 to 1971. She was an honorary member of Alpha Delta Kappa. We send our condolences to her family at this sad time.
