Welcome back Cardinals! Semester one is almost complete. Students, please check in with your teachers to make sure you are up to date with end of semester deadlines and expectations. Semester one officially ends on January 23. Also, please prioritize SP30 and WIN attendance over the next three weeks. During SP30 we will be covering information regarding registration for the 2026/2027 school year and providing direct support for registering for classes. Additionally, as we wrap up the semester WIN time should be used to catch up on any class work you may need to complete. Let's have a great week!

Listed below are important dates for both students and families to be aware of:

• January 9 - Deadline for students to submit quarter 2 missing formatives and summative assessments. Last day for initial attempts at summative assessments.
• January 16 - Last day for new content semester 1 summative assessments.
• January 23 - End of semester 1.

The 2026/2027 course guide is now available (image linked)! This will be the kick off to “Request Fest” as we start the scheduling season. Please be on the lookout for more information as we enter this exciting time of year.

Students and families—join us for an exciting Course Expo where you can explore course offerings, meet instructors, and learn about the opportunities ahead!

Whether you’re planning for the upcoming year or just curious about what’s available, this is a great chance to ask questions, get inspired, and make informed choices together.

A huge thank you to the Sun Prairie Education Foundation and their generous donors. Sun Prairie East was awarded multiple grants, one of which was for our Business Leadership Academy. A story about the program can be seen HERE.

Students, please make sure you are locking your vehicles when in school. Locking your cars is important to make sure no one is entering your vehicle without your permission or knowledge.

Starting in December we are asking both students and staff members to refrain from having food and beverages in the pod spaces. If you would like to enjoy a drink or snack, you are welcome to do so in classrooms or the commons (per your classroom teacher's expectations). Thank you!

5th Hour Tutoring is up & running for 2025-2026! 5th Hour Tutoring runs Tuesdays - Thursdays from 3:50-4:40PM in the LMC, with teachers from English, math, science, social studies, art, and more available to work with students. Students are able to take the activity bus (which leaves at 4:45PM) home after 5th Hour tutoring.

Seniors: The local scholarship application is now open. The deadline to complete is January 30th. This is a great opportunity to be considered for scholarships that are only available to Sun Prairie students. Click here to access the application.

Support our Cardinal athletes this season as they face the West Wolves!

As winter sports kick off, now is a great time to secure your athletic passes if you don’t have one! If you plan to attend multiple games this season, a pass is the easiest and most cost-effective way to enjoy all the action.

Our athletes and families are invited to join Influential Athlete’s monthly virtual NIL Masterclasses to learn how to navigate NIL safely while maximizing opportunities and building skills for life after sports. Sessions take place on the last Tuesday of every month (except December) at 6 PM CST.
