As we close the chapter on an incredible 2025–26 school year, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you. Together, we celebrated achievements, built lasting friendships, and strengthened the bonds that make Mill Valley such a special place.

Throughout the year, our students demonstrated what it means to be a Mill Valley Wolf by showing integrity, kindness, responsibility, and respect in their classrooms, hallways, on the playground, and throughout our community. These values help define who we are and remind us that Mill Valley is more than a school—it is a family.

As you enjoy a well-deserved summer break, please make sure your calendars are marked with these important dates:

• Classroom teacher welcome letters will be sent to families late July/early August
• August 20th is Student Summit (meet your teacher, drop off school supplies, take school picture)
• August 25th is FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL (see image for Kindergarten staggered start)

Thank you for being such an important part of our Mill Valley family. We are proud of all we accomplished together this year and look forward to creating even more memories in the year ahead. While we will miss seeing our students each day this summer, we are already excited for the opportunities, learning, and memories that await us in the 2026–27 school year!

• Walk through their class schedule and locate classrooms (bring your own printed schedule)

• Sign up for drop off and pick up transportation information

• Correct scheduling problems

Your child’s Individual Student Report is now available in NextPath. This report provides information about your child’s performance on the Wisconsin Forward Exam. The Forward Exam was administered during the spring of 2026 in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics for students in grades 3-8, science for grades 4 and 8, and social studies for grades 4, 8, and 10. As part of the Wisconsin Student Assessment System, the Forward Exam is a large-scale, standardized achievement test designed to assess what students know in relation to the Wisconsin Academic Standards.

Remember that this report is just one of many indicators of your child’s academic performance. In order to obtain a more complete picture of your child’s areas of strength and growth, it is important to consider information from a variety of sources.
