Newer News!

Hello Families!

Wow! What a raining and soggy weather weekend. I hope you are staying warm and dry.

👴🏽👵🏻Grandparents Day Gratitude👴🏽👵🏻

A heartfelt thank you to all the grandparents and special family friends who joined us for Grandparents Day! The classrooms were filled with big smiles, warm hugs, and unforgettable memories. We are so grateful for the love, gentleness, and support grandparents bring to our school community. It’s one of our favorite days of the school year!

🚨October Safety Drill Notice 🆘

Safety is our top priority. During the month of October, our school will conduct the first of two state-required annual lockdown drills. These practice sessions help ensure our students and staff are well-prepared, calm, and confident in the event of an emergency. Teachers will discuss the drill with students beforehand in a reassuring, age-appropriate manner.

🤠Show Your School Spirit This Wednesday!😎

Get ready for some mid-week fun! This Wednesday is Spirit Day, and the theme is Crazy Hats & Sunglasses. Dress your child in their wildest hat or coolest shades as we celebrate our school spirit together.

🦷 Oral Health Screening 🦷

Smile bright with our special dental Screening! The Delaware Smile Check Program, part of the Division of Public Health, Bureau of Oral Health and Dental Services, will be at CEEP on Monday, September 28, 2026, to help keep your children’s precious smiles healthy and happy! ✨

😐Early Dismissals 😐

Oh no! Early dismissals are on the rise. I kindly ask for your support in minimizing early dismissals, as every minute of the school day is valuable for your child’s learning and growth. The end of the day includes important closing routines and rituals that help reinforce connections, build a sense of safety, and provide closure for the day. When your child leaves early, they miss out on these critical moments.

In addition, early dismissals can be disruptive not only for your child but also for the main office and their classroom. Classroom staff must escort students to the office, taking away from valuable instructional time and engagement with the other students.

Please help us by limiting early pickups to true emergencies. Please know, reoccuring early dismissals must be approved by Mrs. Daniels in advance. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring that your child has a consistent, full school day.

Lastly, don't forget Open House is on Thursday evening from 6:00- 7:30 pm. The teachers have secured babysitters, ordered takeout for their families, and arranged carpools for their children's sports and after-school events, just so they will be available to our CEEP families. We are looking for 100% attendance from our families. This evening is structured for the learning of the adults. If possible , students should remain at home.

We are looking forward to another great week ahead. I wish you well!

Mrs. Daniels

🪅 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month 🪅 🪅 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month 🪅

Families can honor Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring the rich cultures, histories, and traditions of Hispanic and Latino communities together. Simple ways to celebrate at home include reading bilingual picture books, listening to traditional or modern Latin music, cooking a family-friendly recipe from a Spanish-speaking country, or learning about influential Hispanic artists and leaders. Exploring these vibrant cultures helps spark meaningful conversations and fosters appreciation for diversity in our everyday lives.
