Good morning AVA students and families,
The schedule, guidance updates, community updates, and important dates are all below as per usual.
We will have grades closing for progress reports in two weeks, with published reports for students and families available in Aspen on Wednesday, October 22nd. Prior to that you should expect a brief note from me about my perspective on how things are going for each student.
Please note we have a half-day for students on Friday.
Thank you for your time.

Guidance Updates
Afterschool Clubs and Activities
As a reminder, all AVA students are welcome to join the same afterschool clubs and activities as the AHS on-campus students. Please click HERE for this year's full list of afterschool clubs. Check back periodically as sometimes there are updates when advisors change or the club meeting day changes.
NCAA Registration
AVA students interested in playing collegiate sports through the NCAA will need to create an appropriate account through the NCAA's Eligibility Center. You will need to input AVA's CEEB code (220067) as the high school of graduation. PDF copies of all high schools attended will also need to be uploaded to NCAA by the school counselor, so please email to Ms Nellie (email below) PDF copies of transcripts of all high schools attended prior to AVA if relevant.

Financial Aid Resources
In case you missed it on Senior Planning Night last week, there was also a presentation from financial aid experts. Please click HERE for a copy of their slideshow. College-bound seniors and families can also now start completing the FAFSA (2026-2027 form). Be sure to first create an FSA ID if you do not have one. Students and parents must each create an individual FSA ID in order to digitally sign and complete the FAFSA.
FSA ID Night
On October 30th from 6pm-8pm, the AHS Guidance Dept. will be hosting an FSA ID night to help seniors and families complete the FSA ID for financial aid. Though it is the same night and time as Parent Teacher Conference Night, we welcome any AVA seniors and their families to join us on campus or make a virtual appointment with Ms Nellie for FSA ID help that night. Registration for the FSA ID help is required, so please click HERE to register.
As always, please feel free to email me (nng@attleboroschools.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!
