ParentSquare is replacing Remind & School Messenger
ParentSquare is our new and improved district communication platform. Just like Remind, you are already enrolled in ParentSquare when you register your child in school. It automatically connects to your child's teachers and classes.
Be a Safe Walker!
Look both ways before crossing, stay alert for moving cars in the parking lot. Your safety comes first!

Tardies
The school day begins promptly at 8:45 AM. All tardies are considered unexcused after 8:45 AM unless a doctor’s note is provided.
Attendance is taken at 9:45; any student not in class at this time will be marked absent. If a student returns to school after a doctor's visit, provide the doctor's excuse.
If your student is sent home from the nurse and it is advised they cannot return the following day. This is considered still an absence, and you must send a note excusing the absence.
When Your Child is Absent
When your child is absent, it is not necessary at the elementary level to call the school to report the absence. Calling will not excuse your child’s absence. You can send a note with the student. Please include the student’s first name, last name, and homeroom teacher on the excuse note.
GUIDELINES FOR KEEPING SICK CHILDREN HOME
Message from Nurse Anne
Please pack an extra pair of clothes in your child's backpack, no matter what grade level, in case of accidents or soiled/muddy clothes. We do not have any extra clothes.
- Fever: A child must remain home with a fever equal to or >100 degrees F and may only return after he/she has been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine such as Tylenol or Motrin.
- Diarrhea/Vomiting: A child with diarrhea and/or vomiting must stay at home and may return to school only after being symptom-free for 24 hours.
Transportation Changes
*All transportation changes must be made in writing BY THE PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN*
Please send a detailed note with the student that includes the following information:
Student's full name and teacher's name, transportation change information as well as the dates of change, a parent/legal guardian signature with the phone number.
PLEASE NOTE: Phone changes will not be accepted. If you have an emergency during the school day and are not able to send the note with the student, you can email a PICTURE of the note plus a PICTURE of your valid government issued photo ID to Flor.ortiz@cfisd.net before 3:00 pm. Please call us at 281-463-5885 to confirm we received the attachments.
Thank you for your cooperation!
TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT
If a student is experiencing ongoing trouble with their computer, please submit a digital support ticket so our technicians can begin troubleshooting.
