Principal's note:
Wonderful Week TWO!
This was a terrific week here at MMS! Please join us on Thursday, September 11th at arriving at 5:45 for a 6pm start for our Middle School Open House! Upon arrival, please move directly to your student's homeroom with their Squad leader. Signs are posted in the entryways if you need reminders about who is your student's Squad Leader. This is your point person for the year to help you with any concerns for your middle schooler. You will receive communication from them throughout the year.
Starting at 6:00PM caregivers will be invited to move through your middle schoolers schedule for 10 minute classes. At 7:00PM everyone is welcome to join us for a quick presentation from the administration and Unified Arts Teachers, Special Education Staff and Related Service Providers. The evening should wrap up around 7:30pm.
Families play a huge role in our success, and we would love your feedback. Please take a few minutes to complete our Caregiver Input Survey and let us know how we can best support your child. It would be most beneficial if these responses could be submitted by Friday, September 5, 2025. THANK YOU for your input!
You can also find our updated Millis Middle School Student Handbook online. We encourage you to look it over together at home so everyone feels ready for the school year ahead. Everyone will need to sign off on this handbook!

Terpsichore
Terpsichore, the Millis MS/HS Dance Club is accepting registrations for their 17th Annual Product of the Nutcracker on December 5, 6, & 7 2026. This is an opportunity for children in Pre K to 12 to be able to participate in a family friendly, abridge version of "The Nutcracker". There is no fee to participate and there are roles for students of all abilities and personalities, from no experience to advanced, from shy to extrovert - there is a place for everyone. Last year we had 190 participants over the three performances, with a different cast each show. We graduated seniors who had been performing in the show since Pre - K to ones who had just tried it out the year before. Here is a link to a video that provides a fun look at the production from start to finish. It was created by Millis Alum Madeline Pudelka.
Priority is given to students who register prior to September 5 , but we accept participants as long as we have room in given roles (sometimes we are limited based on number of costumes and/or choreography) AND there is enough time for the students to learn the choreography.
