Superintendent Update

Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,

In alignment with Strategic Objective 2.1 regarding student wellbeing, the district is considering whether a change in school hours is in the best interest of students. As outlined in the Bedford Healthy School Hours Communication Plan, parents/caregivers and community members had multiple opportunities to learn more about the research on healthy school hours over the past few weeks and will now have the opportunity to provide feedback via this survey, which launches today and closes on May 16th and can be found here. Links for staff and students (5th through 12th grade) are being sent directly to them. The school committee has been discussing the issue all year and is expected to move the decision-making process forward in the final two meetings of the year, on May 28th and June 11th (note that these final meetings are on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays).
