Good Morning Memorial Families,
It is certain to be a busy week here at Memorial! If you have not signed up for a parent-teacher conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher. We truly value the time we get to spend with each family. If there are others that you would like to meet with in addition to your child’s classroom teacher, please reach out to those educators individually and they will find a time for you.
As we head into a very choppy month, please pay attention to the school calendar. We have early release days for conferences Wednesday and Thursday of this week, and then next week there is no school on Tuesday or Friday.
We will hold our Halloween parade on Tuesday, October 31st at 9:20am. If it rains, the parade will not take place. Please do not arrive before 9:10am and do not block fire lanes. Students will use the sidewalk around the building to parade on, so families can position yourselves in the driveway. Please keep the following things in mind:
If your child does not wish to participate, for any reason, they will have the option to remain inside the building and participate in a different (not Halloween-themed) activity with a teacher. We hope all students will choose to come to school on this day, and the parade will be over and done with by 9:45am.
We ask that all costumes be “school-friendly”. This means that we are asking scary costumes to remain at home. We encourage families to send in a costume that is easy to take on and off, is easy to walk in, and please leave the props at home.
We look forward to seeing and interacting with many of you this week.
Warmly,
Wendy and Lauren

Due to the hectic nature of the late afternoon, we will no longer be allowing parent dismissals from the main office after 2:45pm. If your child has an appointment, please plan to dismiss him/her earlier, or make use of our pick up line at 3:15pm. Thank you for understanding.
