Last day to donate to GVTC canned food drive - Turkey Cooking Bags and Stuffing Mix

Tuesday, November 7th

Full Band Rehearsal (Band and Color Guard), 5-6 pm (all eligible students required to attend)

Band Booster Meeting, 6:30 pm, DHS Auditorium

Thursday, November 9th

Veterans Day Program, 10 am, DHS Auditorium
Playoff Game #1 vs. Fredericksburg, 7 pm, Wolf Stadium

Friday, November 10th

No school

Veterans Day Program

The Davenport High School Veteran's Day program is this Thursday at 10 am. Only our Wind Ensemble and Battery will be performing due to limited space on stage in the auditorium. We’re honored to be able to offer this performance to the Veterans in our community who have bravely served our country. Attire for the performance is band polos and jeans.

Fredericksburg Home Playoff Game

Parents, please consider signing up to volunteer as a chaperone or lead crew if you have already completed the CISD background check here. The sign up to volunteer is here (will be updated shortly with Fredericksburg sign up).

Students need to bring these items with them to school on Thurday.

-Formal Uniform Parts for game

Band - long black socks, marching shoes, compression shirt and shorts, gloves
Color guard - show hair and makeup, body tights, long black socks, show undergarments, and guard shoes

-Flip folder with this music inside

Schedule for the day

4:30 pm - Feed the band
5:15 pm - Run through
5:35 pm - Move equipment to stadium
6:05 pm - Inspection
6:10 pm - March to the stadium
6:30 pm - Pre-game ceremonies
7:00 pm - Game starts
10:15 pm - Parent Pickup

GVTC Canned Food Drive

We are participating in the GVTC canned food drive again this year. The band and color guard are specifically collecting Turkey Cooking Bags and Stuffing Mix. Drop off is at the band hall to Mr. Keyes. We are setting a goal that every band and color guard member donates one box of stuffing. The last day to donate is November 6th.

Directions for Syncing Charms Calendar

School Code: DavenportHSBand

For iPhones

Go into the Settings app
Touch "Accounts & Passwords"
On the Accounts & Passwords screen, touch "Add Account"
On the Add Account screen, touch "Other"
Under Calendars, touch "Add Subscribed Calendar"
For the Server value, enter the URL of the public calendar:
https://www.charmsoffice.com/charms/calsync.asp?s=DavenportHSBand
Touch "Next" in the upper right corner.
It will verify the server then show a subscription page. Change the description if you like.
Touch "Save" to save the subscription

For Android Phones

To sync with Android devices, you will need to use your Google account and have a Google calendar created.

In your Google calendar on a real computer:

Under "Other Calendars" click the Add link.
Select "Add by URL"
Enter the following URL:

Click "Add Calendar"
Google will begin to sync your calendar, and it will appear on the screen.
Click "Settings"
Change the long name of the new calendar to something you will remember such as "Charms Calendar"
Your phone should automatically be set to sync with your Google calendar.
On your phone: Click on "Calendar", then bring up the settings for the calendar. Click on Calendar Sync. You should see your google account listed already. Make sure Auto-Sync is checked.

Remind Groups

Parents and students, please take a moment to join the appropriate groups by texting the code including the @ to 81010. You do not need to re-join if you were in the correct group last year.

Fee Payments

Fee payments can be made at any time to Mr Keyes or online.

Please consider paying with cash or a check to avoid the 4% plus $1 per transaction service charge for using a credit card. You may pay your booster fees online at this link. The instrument usage fee can be paid at this link.
Payment plans are available upon request.
The fair share fee ($300), marching shoes/color guard uniform items (various cost) will be paid to the booster (Check to Davenport Band Boosters) and the instrument usage fee ($80) will be paid to the school (Check to Davenport High School).
