Dear Parker Families,

What a busy but short week it has been here at Parker! We had so many big smiles on Tuesday for our school Picture Day. If your child missed out or you would like a second chance at that perfect shot, picture retakes will take place on Tuesday, November 24th.

Looking ahead to this week, we are thrilled to host our Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 23rd, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Put on your favorite costume and join us in the Parker parking lot for a fun evening of treats and fun with our school community. Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you all there!

Students in Room 335 are writing collaborative essays about what inspires a poet and how that inspiration is evident in their poems. The poet’s they are writing about are: Walter Dean Myers, Valerie Worth, Robert Frost, and Arnold Adoff.

Ms. DiFraia's class made paper plate models of the continents and oceans.

On Friday, October 30, 2026, we will be celebrating the season with a Wear Fall Colors Spirit Day! Our annual PTO Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 23rd will be how the Parker celebrates Halloween. This Spirit Day is a chance for everyone to show off their favorite autumn shades, like reds, yellows, oranges, and brown. To ensure an inclusive environment for all, we want to remind families that no costumes, masks, or costume-like accessories will be permitted on this day. We look forward to a colorful and fun day celebrating the fall season together!

Any parent/guardian looking to come to the Parker and cheer on their runner will need to ensure that they have a completed CORI on file with the Billerica Public Schools. If you have any questions about the status of your CORI, please email Ms. Judy Butler (jbutler@billericak12.com). CORIs can be completed during school hours by visiting the main office with your State ID or Passport.

Looking for part-time work with the same schedule as your student? The Parker School is seeking a Part-Time Building Substitute for 3 days per week (preferably Wednesday through Friday). Enjoy a flexible schedule while staying connected to our school community!

We are looking forward to our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 29th!

This year, we are utilizing PTC Wizard for all conference scheduling. This is the same platform used by Marshall and BMHS, so if you have older students at those schools, you may already have an existing account.

To successfully schedule your time slots, the first step is to set up your Parent/Guardian account.

Once your account is created, you will be able to schedule your conferences for Thursday, October 29th. Please use the linked directions if you need any assistance with the account setup or scheduling process.
