A Note from Administration
Hello families,
We had a fantastic first week back to school! Your partnership and support have shone brightly, and our students have done an incredible job meeting our high expectations both academically and socially—they truly Leveled Up all week.
As we head into week two, here are a few important updates to help keep our school running smoothly and safely:
Drop Off and Pick Up: Please use the round drop-off circle off Konkle Street for all student drop-offs and pick-ups. For safety, families must not enter the staff parking lot, as this poses a risk to students exiting buses and walking to the building. Starting Tuesday, all students will enter the school through the front entrance.
Locker Assignments & Electronics Policy: All students have received their locker assignments. Starting this week, all personal belongings—including backpacks, phones, headphones, and all other personal technology—must be stored safely in lockers during the school day from 7:25 AM to 2:20 PM. To comply with new state law and maintain our school-wide expectations, there are no exceptions to this rule.
Staying Connected: If your child needs to reach you during the day, they are always welcome to use a school phone. If you need to get a message to your student, please call the main office, and our staff will gladly pass it along.
Student IDs & Safety: On Tuesday morning during first period, students will receive their temporary IDs along with a badge sleeve and lanyard.
Daily Expectations: For safety, students are required to wear their ID around their neck at all times during the school day. IDs will also be needed to enter the building each morning and at lunch and breakfast.
Morning & Lunch Routines: To help entry and lunch lines move efficiently, students who forget their ID will enter the building after those with IDs, and will also be called up last during lunch service.
Permanent IDs & Replacements: Students will use these temporary IDs until permanent ones are issued after picture day. If a student misplaces their ID, replacement badges can be purchased for $3.00.
Dress Code: We appreciate your support in helping students dress for a respectful, distraction-free learning space. Outerwear—including hoods, hats, scarves, and skull caps—along with clothing featuring inappropriate language or imagery, should be left at home.
Hallway Expectations: Please help us remind students to stay in their designated team hallways during passing periods. While some students need to travel to other areas of the building for electives, they should head directly to class and return straight to their team area afterward.
Creating a safe, supportive environment takes a team effort, and we are so grateful for your continued partnership alongside our dedicated staff. Thank you for helping us make this a wonderful school year!
Drop Off and Pick Up
Safety First!
To prioritize student safety, drop-off and pick-up location is located at the front circle loop off Konkle Street (see aerial view below).
Car Riders: Drop-off and dismissal pick-up will occur exclusively in the Konkle Street circle loop.
Buses Only: Please do not use the staff parking entrance. Also note that the back lane (near basketball courts) is strictly reserved for buses only!
