2025-2026 Bearcat Blast

This month we are celebrating the best of the BEST principals in the nation for National Principals Month! We are so grateful for the time and dedication these principals have - they are All in Aledo!

Congratulations to Aledo High School Senior Landry Wolf, who was crowned the 2025 Aledo High School Homecoming Queen during Homecoming night’s halftime festivities! Surrounded by her peers and the packed stands of Bearcat Nation, Landry proudly represents the spirit, tradition and excellence of Aledo High School.

Harvest of the Month: Root Vegetables!

Root veggies grow underground. They are nutrient dense, fiber rich & help with digestive health, heart health and more! Aledo ISD Cafeterias will be featuring carrots, radishes, sweet potatoes, beets and more! COME TRY SOME!

Parents, looking for something to do now that the kids are back in school? Join our team in Child Nutrition! Enjoy a school-day schedule, great pay and benefits, a fun work environment, and most importantly, the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of our students!

The Aledo Growth Committee wants YOU to know the most important thing about their work … and they want feedback from YOU! Plan to join them at the AGC Community Meeting from 6-7:30 on Monday, Oct. 27 at the Daniel Ninth Grade Cafeteria!

Congratulations to Aledo ISD seniors Kaitlin Brummer, Breleigh Mayer and Amber Furlow for earning their AP Capstone diplomas! This rigorous College Board program challenges students with AP Seminar and AP Research courses, plus four additional AP exams, developing critical thinking, research, collaboration and presentation skills highly valued by colleges. Aledo ISD proudly joins over 2,500 schools worldwide with students achieving this distinguished recognition.

The Bearcat Regiment started marching competition season strong with a 2nd Place 5A Finish at the prelims of the 2025 HEB Marching Contest today! Big congrats to Percussion, which was awarded First Place in 5A! Way to go Bearcats!

EECU and employees from the new local Hudson Oaks branch were out Friday surprising two of our much-deserving employees as EECU Employees of the Month! Congrats to August Employee of the Month Amanda Bach from Annetta Elementary and September Employee of the Month Lacey McBride from McKinney Elementary!

You might catch a glimpse of this bit of sweetness at the Aledo High School Ag Barn as junior Hannah McCain's heifer Bristol had her baby calf this weekend!

Hannah won Bristol in the Fort Worth Calf Scramble in March of 2024 when Bristol was six months old. Hannah has raised her, shown her and bred her, and now Hannah has this adorable calf named Creed at the Ag Barn with mom Bristol!

These exceptional experiences are the norm in Aledo ISD, and we are grateful to be able to provide space for dozens of FFA animals in our barn at AHS for our students! We can't wait to see Bristol's baby grow and show in the coming years!

There are many Aledo ISD team members who are doing great work every single day! You can nominate any employee serving in the district for the Circle of Greatness Award.

In compliance with Texas House Bill 1481 - the Cell Phone Ban Bill - Aledo ISD students must have cell phones, smart watches, personal tablets, Bluetooth devices (including wireless headphones, earbuds and AirPods), gaming systems, personal laptops or any other personal electronic device capable of telecommunication or digital communication put away, turned off or silenced and out of sight bell to bell during the school day.

The intent behind House Bill 1481 is to limit distractions in the classroom and across campus so students can stay focused on learning. As a public school district, our Board of Trustees must adopt a policy that implements the law. Click here or the button below to learn more and check out common frequently asked questions!

Each Aledo ISD student has access to nutritious and delicious meals prepared by our amazing Child Nutrition staff. Breakfast and lunch are served everyday throughout the school week. Click here or the button below to view this month's breakfast and lunch menus.
