A Message from Your Principal
Greetings, Garfield Families!
It’s hard to believe we’re already eight weeks into the school year! Thank you for helping make the start of the year such a smooth and successful one — your continued support truly makes a difference.
This week, we’re especially excited for our 6th grade students and staff as they head off to Sierra Outdoor School. This trip is always a highlight of the year, offering incredible opportunities for hands-on learning, team building, and outdoor adventure. We wish them a safe, fun, and memorable experience!
Looking for ways to get involved at Garfield? We’d love to see you at our upcoming SART and IDAC meetings next week. Details can be found below, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Warmly,
Methinee Bozeman
PTC Meeting Tuesday, October 14
The Garfield Parent Teacher Club (PTC) provides our school, students and teachers with much needed support throughout the year. Want to vote on items for our school, get involved, or just learn what we are all about? Join our meeting this Tuesday, Oct. 14th at 5:30pm in the Cub Café.
Garfield PTC plays a vital role in the Garfield community. In addition to raising funds to support technology, curriculum enrichment opportunities, and sports, Garfield PTC hosts many fun events and activities throughout the year for students and families. Check our website by clicking here for the 25/26 calendar of events. Also be sure to follow us on social media!

Deliveries at School
Lunch
Students should know if they are eating hot or cold lunch before leaving home each morning. If a student accidentally leaves their lunch at home, they may eat hot lunch instead and should let their teacher know during lunch count. Students will not be permitted to call home for lunch as this is disruptive. If a parent drops off a forgotten lunch to school, there will be a table outside the office for them to place it on. Parents should email the teacher to alert them to the drop off. The lunches will not be monitored and will not be delivered to students.
Forgotten Homework / Sports Uniforms
Forgotten homework, books, or sports uniforms may be dropped off on the table in front of the office. All items should be labeled with your student’s name. Please email the student’s teacher to alert them to the drop off. Items will not be monitored and will not be delivered to students.
Cash / Cell Phones
Please be sure to give your students their Snack Shack money before they leave for school on Fridays. We are unable to accept any valuables to hold in the office for your students including cash or cell phones. These items may not be left on the table outside of the office.
Deliveries
No flowers, balloons, or special deliveries will be accepted by the office. No phone orders or food delivery orders such as Door Dash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats will be accepted. Students will not be summoned, and deliveries will not be made to classrooms. Students may not meet food delivery drivers during the school day.
Don't Forget Your Late Pass!
Parents, if your student is late arriving at school for any reason, please bring them to the office for their late pass. If your child is late due to a doctor’s appointment, please bring a note from the doctor’s office to clear their absence.
