How to Communicate your Student's Absence
SafeArrival is an absence management system used by Marysville Exempted Village Schools that improves school communication and safety, making it quick and easy to report student absences 24/7. You can access this through your MyPowerHub account.
Phone Option: To report an absence by phone, please call the Marysville District line at 855-876-7974.
MyPowerHub Option: You can log in to your MyPowerHub account and click on the SafeArrival icon. You can attach medical notes, too. Currently, the PowerSchool app is not working, but you can utilize the website browser version. Once the app is working, you can utilize this as well.
Change in Attendance Requirements from the State of Ohio
Change in Attendance Requirements from the State of Ohio
Please review the following key updates regarding state attendance requirements under Ohio HB 96:
Chronically Absent: Missing 10% or more of minimum school hours for any reason (excused or unexcused, this includes medical and Alternate Learning Experiences).
Habitually Truant: Refers to unexcused absences totaling 30+ consecutive hours, 42+ hours in a month, or 72+ hours in a school year.
Excused Absences: Medical and religious absences contribute to chronic absenteeism counts, though up to 3 days per year for religious beliefs do not count toward chronic absence thresholds.
