Welcome Jet Families!

We hope all of our Jets had a fun weekend. We are glad the rain gave us a nice break, and we had beautiful weather this weekend.

We have made it to May! We have so many events and celebrations this month, and it starts this week with Teacher Appreciation Week!

We took a little dip last week in attendance. We were at 92% for the week. Our campus goal is 95%, so let's LEVEL back up this week!

Don't forget to see who our "Guess the Staff" was last week. It is at the bottom of the newsletter. Will you guess this week's staff member?

Last week, we celebrated The G.O.A.T. of Principals, Mr. Ellis! Miller's Point is so blessed to have him as our campus leader. Students and staff had such a great time showing him just how important and special he is to us. Staff (and some students) wore specially made T-Shirts with Mr. Ellis' high school portrait on them, our littles wore special hats made with his DJ Jazz-E picture from Spring Fling, and students hunted for hundreds of little stickers and pictures with his picture on them. If they found one, they got a special treat in the office. Thank you, Mr. Ellis for all that you do!

Finally, we have a lot of celebratory events coming up in May. Please make sure you read through our Upcoming Events section of the newsletter.

Arrival and Dismissal Safety Arrival and Dismissal Safety

Thank you for your patience at arrival and dismissal. We have a lot of JETS that are car riders and walkers, and safety is our

#1 priority.

In order to make sure that these busy times go smoothly and safely, we want to make sure everyone knows the procedures for arrival and dismissal times.

Doors open for Morning Drop-Off at 6:45 am, through the cafeteria. There is only one lane for parent drop-off in the morning. The lane closest to the curb is the lane for morning drop-off.

DIsmissal is at 2:50 pm, and car riders are dismissed through the cafeteria. There are two lanes for car rider parent pick-up. The two lanes closest to the curb are used for pick up. Please be patient and courteous to each other, as there is only one entrance.

Finally, please make sure that you are not blocking any intersections, walkways, or crossroads. We want everyone to be able to get where they need to go in an orderly and safe manner. Many students walk home and need these spaces to be open and clear. This includes the intersection of Misty Ridge and Frontier Ridge.

Last week's hint was:

This staff member was once a Police Officer in the Marine Corps.

That would be 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Jackson!!

Ready for this week's hint?

This staff member has been a baton twirler since she was 6. She has even twirled batons that were on fire!

Who am I?
