Good Morning,

Thank you to the WECC Parent Council for sponsoring our Winter Workshop!
The preschoolers had such a wonderful time—it was festive and a happy day for all. We were delighted to have so many family members, along with our Adams Academy friends, volunteer their time to help our students shop. We’re grateful for your support in making this event so special.

Tuition Receipt Requests

To request a tuition receipt, please email Kristen Clancy at kristen.clancy@weymouthps.org

In your email, be sure to include:

  • Your child’s full name

  • The month or months you are requesting a receipt for

Important Notes:

  • If you need receipts for multiple months, you will receive one consolidated document with a full accounting of all payments, rather than separate monthly receipts.

  • Kindly allow 1 week to 10 days for your receipt to be processed and emailed back to you.

Keeping Our Schools Healthy and Safe

Maintaining a healthy school environment is a shared responsibility. Please help keep our school communities as healthy as possible by following these recommendations. If you have questions about symptoms or if symptoms persist, consult your healthcare provider.

Healthy habits that make a difference:

  • Stay home when you are ill.

  • Practice good hygiene, including regular handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, and keeping frequently touched surfaces clean.

For additional WPS health guidelines and information, please visit the WPS Health Services website: https://www.weymouthschools.org/departments/health-services

Outdoor Play:

Outdoor play is an important part of every preschooler’s day. Fresh air, movement, and time to explore help children build strong bodies, develop motor skills, and learn through hands-on experiences. Even in cooler weather, outdoor time supports their well-being and helps them return to the classroom ready to learn.

As the temperatures drop, we ask for your support in helping children stay comfortable and safe during outdoor play. Please send your child to school with a warm hat and mittens each day. We prefer mittens rather than gloves, as many children can put on mittens independently, supporting both their comfort and growing self-help skills.

Thank you for helping us ensure that all children can enjoy outdoor play throughout the season!

Have a great Sunday!

How to Help Your Child Recognize and Understand Disappointment

About this Series

The Backpack Connection Series was created by TACSEI to provide a way for teachers and parents/caregivers to work together to help young children develop social emotional skills and reduce challenging behavior.

Each Backpack Connection handout provides information that helps parents stay informed about what their child is learning at school and specific ideas on how to use the strategy or skill at home.
