We had a very busy week here at MJT! This week students continued their classroom discussions about Fire Safety, and today we had our fire safety program with the Granville Fire Department! Students were able to view and tour three different fire trucks, see the ladder extended, and touch some of the equipment. Please make sure to ask your children what their favorite part of the event was, and they will certainly be proud to show off the goodies they are coming home with! Always be sure to discuss a safety plan with your children at home, so that they know what to do and where to go in case of a fire emergency.
Here are a few upcoming events and reminders:
-Anyone who chose to participate in the pumpkin decorating contest should bring their pumpkins to school on Monday 10/23. Please be sure they are labeled with their name. The top 10 pumpkins will receive a special lunch with Mrs. Taylor, and all participants will get a prize!
-Don't forget to come to our annual Trunk or Treat on Thursday 10/26. This will be held in the GES parking lot from 5:30-7:00.
-Our annual Fall Parade will be Friday 10/27. Students should bring their costumes to school if they wish (No full face masks or fake weapons are allowed). Parents will need to sign in, and will be able to go to a viewing area (cafeteria, library, gym). When the parade is over, we ask that you quickly go to your child's classroom, sign them out, and then exit the building so that buses can arrive for dismissal. Please fill out the dismissal form that is being sent home today, and return by Thursday 10/26. You may want to carpool if possible- parking will be limited!
