Wildwood Weekly News

As we continue through June there is plenty of exciting things happening.

This week our School Council had our final meeting of the year. It has been a wonderful experience to work with the dedicated team that makes so many of the events in our school happen. Our 5/6 class also had their Social Studies and Science PATs.

The next two weeks are going to be packed with events. The Grade 6 Math Pat is split over two days June 15th and 18th. We have Hot Lunch on the 16th, Chicken Fingers and Fries. On Friday Evansview School will be joining us for Indigenous Peoples Day. In addition to the cultural based activities all students will receive a hot dog or a hamburger. Students will need to bring additional snacks.

The following week we have Our school field trip to Whitecourt on the 23rd, please keep an eye for permission slips early next week.

We also have our final pancake breakfast and field day on the 24th, Bike Rodeo on the 25th and Awards Day on the 26th.

Awards Day celebration will start at 10am on the 26th.

Bus Registration

For all new students who enroll between March 16, 2026, and June 26, 2026, and who require bus transportation for the 26-27 school year, parents must submit a School Bus Registration on the GYPSD website (School Bus Registration tab) by June 30, 2026.

This deadline also applies to returning students who require bus transportation for the 2026-27 school year. A snapcode is not required to complete the School Bus Registration.

Community Contribution

As you all know this will be the last year of Wildwood School. As part of that I have been sharing bits of our schools history. If you have bits of history or artifacts that you would like to share please email or call Mr. Stoyles so we can share parts of the school's past as we get ready for a new future in September.

This year all students at Wildwood School received a hoodie from School Council. The logo represents the history of Wildwood School; from our past as the Wasps to our time as the Wolves.
