School Record Broken
A huge congratulations to seventh-grader Audrey DiLullo for a stellar performance at the IESA State Track and Field Meet over the weekend! Competing against the best in state, Audrey threw an 8.55 meters (28 feet, 0.6 inches) in the shot put! With that incredible throw, she captured 9th place in the state seventh-grade girls! Audrey's powerhouse throw officially sets a NEW Daniel Wright school record!
"Daniel Wright is so incredibly proud of your hard work, dedication, and historic achievement, Audrey. Way to represent the Warriors on the biggest stage!" said one of her coaches Jessica De La Paz.

Summer Wishes
Dear Daniel Wright Families,
As we close out another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your partnership, trust, and support throughout the year. Serving as principal of Daniel Wright continues to be one of the greatest honors of my life, and as I complete my second year here, I can say with complete certainty how deeply grateful I am to be part of this extraordinary community.
Two years ago, I arrived excited for the opportunity ahead and hopeful about the relationships we would build together. Today, Daniel Wright truly feels like home. I have had the privilege of getting to know your children not only as students, but as individuals. Over these past two years, we have become a family, and I am so thankful for the relationships, memories, and experiences we have shared together.
As we head into summer, I hope your family finds time to slow down, recharge, and enjoy being together. Thank you for sharing your children with us and for allowing us to be part of their journey. The partnership between school and home is something I never take for granted, and I am incredibly thankful for the support and care you continue to show our staff and students.
And to our eighth-grade families, thank you for allowing us to be part of such an important chapter in your child’s life. We are incredibly proud of the young people they have become, and we wish you nothing but success, happiness, and new adventures as you begin your high school journey.
I already look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for another amazing year together. We’ll be sure to send you important updates as the time gets closer with important details.
Happy Summer!
With gratitude,
Jessica Groncki

WWC Wrap Up
The Wright Way Club, with 46 dedicated members, made year-long positive impacts through service, generosity, and kindness as seen in these photos. This year, students raised nearly $1,500 for charities and organizations meaningful to them, including $474 for Feed My Starving Children. Members also supported the Vernon Township Food Drive, collaborated with Stevenson's Key Club to make blankets for Orphans of the Storm, and created inspirational cards for local senior centers. Thank you to all who donated this year and supported our efforts!
SEL Trait: Positivity
Positivity at school means fostering an inclusive, supportive, and resilient environment that blends academic learning with emotional well-being to boost engagement and performance. Read about how you can incorporate the trait at home.
Join Us in Celebrating Retiring Superintendent
Please join us in honoring retiring Superintendent Scott Warren for 15 years of dedication to the Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 community.
When: Tuesday, June 2, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Where: District Office, 111 Barclay Boulevard, Lincolnshire
What: Open house honoring Dr. Warren. We will offer light appetizers, refreshments, and desserts.
Public Comment: The Board meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. following the reception. Community members will have an opportunity during public comment to share memories, appreciation, and well-wishes in celebration of Dr. Warren's tenure in District 103.
Summer Reading Requirement
Over the summer, students are being asked to read a book that they will discuss in class when they return to Daniel Wright in August. Please take a moment to review the summer reading lists created by the English Language Arts teachers.
Why does Summer Reading matter? Research shows that students who read consistently over the summer are stronger students during the school year. District 103 is committed to developing strong reading, writing, and thinking skills. We also recommend that students read a variety of material during the summer. About young adult literature in the Daniel Wright library.
Medication Pick Up
Please stop by the nurse's office before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, to pick up any of your child's medication that they take at school. Unclaimed medication will be disposed of after that date.
Partnerships
Honoring Long-Time Volunteers
The Dawn Anderson Volunteer Angel Award is the PTO's highest honor, recognizing a parent or guardian whose youngest student is graduating from District 103. Unlike the Volunteer of the Year Award, this one reflects a nominee's entire tenure at D103 — a lifetime of service.
This year, four remarkable women were nominated. With more than 36 years of dedicated service combined, these four women really stood out. "With such an incredible short-list of nominees this year, the selection committee had a very difficult time narrowing in on just on winner, so we broke the mold and awarded all 4 nominees this prestigious award" said Aaron Jesser, Volunteer Awards Committee Lead.
Please join us in honoring this year's recipients: Kari Davenport, Kathy Reibel, Maria Peterson, and Marissa Grossenbach.
Legacy Brick Fundraiser
What a wonderful way to leave your mark in the district by gifting your graduating student a legacy brick that will be installed in the Daniel Wright walkway. Please visit the Learning Fund Foundation website to purchase your special brick from the Learning Fund Foundation. Order your bricks by Wednesday, June 10, to be installed by Fall 2026.
