Northmont Middle School
September 2025
A Fantastic Start to the School Year!
We’re excited to share what our students have been learning during the first few weeks at Northmont Middle School.
Students have explored the meaning of RESPECT—towards their peers, staff, and our entire school community.
Clear behavior expectations have been communicated, including the Student Code of Conduct, which you can find in your middle schooler’s Agenda Book.
Students have become familiar with important building procedures and have learned how to navigate their daily schedules with confidence.
The focus on building positive relationships is already making a difference in our school culture.
We’ve discussed the importance of empathy and what it means to be part of the Northmont community.
Students have been introduced to strategies for success here at Northmont Middle School.
Our core values—being Respectful, Responsible, Resourceful, and Kind—are at the heart of everything we do.
Students have also learned how to effectively use their new Chromebooks to support their learning.
Finally, students completed their first FastBridge Benchmark Assessments in Language Arts and Math to help us understand their strengths and areas for growth.
Thank you for your ongoing support in helping make this school year a great one!

Health & Wellness Corner
Immunizations are due by Sept 8th. Incomplete records will result in being excluded from school on Sept. 8th, per Ohio Department of Health. Please contact the clinic with questions or concerns. Please see a few reminders below:
- The clinic does not provide cough drops. If you wish for your student to have cough drops, they may drop them off in the clinic, in the original packaging, with an OTC medication form. Contact the nurse if you have questions.
- Please remind your students to bring water bottles to school. Hydration is key and can help with a lot of common symptoms such as headaches and sore throats.
- Hearing and Vision screenings will be done on October 3rd for all 8th grade students.
- If your student has an injury, illness, or had surgery, please provide documentation from a health care provider with any accommodations and/or restrictions and a pain management plan. Communicate with the nurse to discuss a plan for school. Please note, the Middle School does not have an elevator.
- If your student needs to self carry an inhaler or Epi Pen during school or sports, please make sure a prescription medication form is on file in the clinic.
Please update the nurse with any health related needs as they may arise.
Thank you,
Mandi and Sara
