Principal's Message from Mrs. Stinson
🎉 Welcome Back to Smith Elementary! 🎉
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the final days of summer. As we prepare to kick off an exciting new school year, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome to all of our returning students and families, as well as those joining us for the first time. We’re so glad you’re here!
Our dedicated team has been working diligently to ensure that Smith Elementary is ready to provide an enriching, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every student feels safe, valued, and supported. Your child’s well-being, academic success, and personal growth remain our top priorities.
This year, we look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence by fostering creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking in every classroom. Together, we will inspire a love for learning and help each student reach their fullest potential—both academically and personally.
To kick things off, we invite you to join us for Meet the Teacher Night on Friday, August 8th, from 2:00–3:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about our campus routines and expectations.
📌 Attendance Reminder:
Our school day begins promptly at 7:50 AM, and consistent attendance is key to student success—every day counts!
To support timely arrivals, beginning in September:
Parents/guardians dropping off students after 7:50 AM will receive a Parent Tardy—a friendly reminder of our start time.
Students arriving at 8:05 AM or later must be signed in by a parent/guardian at the front office.
We are looking forward to a fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and memorable moments. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to review our August Family Newsletter for important updates and reminders. Let’s make this our best year yet! 💛
Warm regards,
Lauren Stinson
