Meditation at Hellstern

Last week 6th grade health welcomed Mr. Dennis McDonald to teach a primetime extension about meditation to an interested group of students. Mr. McDonald is grandfather to one of our 6th graders, owner of Tactile Living, and has been meditating and studying about meditation for nearly 50 years.

Thank you Mr. McDonald for bringing a new relaxation and mindfulness experience to our students.

Working Hard!

During 1st quarter health, several students requested a "real athletes work-out," so local personal trainer, gym owner of DoFitness Studio, and former Lady Razorback basketball player, Debbie Olivas, taught a primetime extension workout for interested students. Debbie led students through a non-stop, 30 minute, body weight workout, while encouraging them to push themselves and believe they could do it. Thank you Debbie for setting high expectations for student's health and helping them achieve new goals.
