The Student Council and Flight Crew student leaders went to the Harvesters food bank! While there, we toured the 231,796 square foot building, learned how they distribute food to a network of 760 nonprofit agencies, learned about "food insecurity", and learned how volunteers can make a difference. In total, we packed 2,266 back snacks for KCMO area students in under 90 minutes! Our BlueJay student leaders are Designed to Fly!

Fall Play
Please join us for the Fall Play at LMS Citizen Crane. Performances are October 9th & 10th at 7:00pm in the Liberty Performing Arts Center at LMS. Citizen Crane Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance online with the link. The link above can be used to purchase tickets at the door as well but no cash is accepted at the door. We hope to see you there!
What’s the play about?
Who is student filmmaker Vernon Triumph? Some say a visionary. Some say a madman. But he’s pretty convincing, so everyone from the volleyball team to the custodian gets involved in making his masterpiece, The Crane Man (an important, artistic film about a guy who gets bitten by a radioactive crane and becomes a superhero). The budget is zero, the cast and crew are clueless, and the whole production seems headed for disaster. But the rise and fall of Vernon Triumph just might turn out to be so silly it’s sublime.
Protect Your Student’s Device and Avoid Costly Repairs
Families are encouraged to purchase Device Protection for just $25 per year—and there is no cost for students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
With Device Protection, accidental damage claims are $40 per incident ($20 for free/reduced lunch students), and lost or stolen devices have a $100 claim fee.
Without Device Protection, families are responsible for the full cost of repairs or replacement. For example, replacing a damaged iPad screen can cost approximately $150.
Device Protection is an affordable way to be protected from unexpected repair expenses. More information can be found on the Technology FAQ site.
Family Learning Modules
