Participate in school board meetings in November, December, and January as the board and MRPS administrators work through the 2024-2025 budget. MRPS is facing significant pressures this budget season and potentially for the next several years due to Act 127. It is imperative for our community to know the scale of the potential pressures and provide input.

MRPS has partnered with TruexCullins to facilitate a robust community engagement process to help the district assess future options and opportunities for the facilities within our district. We are hosting two community workshops in the coming months to gather thoughts from our community:

• Tuesday, December 5th from 5:30 - 7:30 at Montpelier High School

MPRS's goal is that every student graduates from our system with the confidence, skills, and dispositions to have a limitless future. In order to achieve this goal, we recognize that every learner needs to feel safe and have a sense of belonging at school. In light of this, MRPS has partnered with The Equity Leadership Group to conduct an equity audit of our current system.

The audit report will be released and a presentation made at the Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 school board meeting.

MRPS has formed a Caregiver Council to the Superintendent comprised of caregiver representatives from each school. The Council identifies common needs and goals, provides feedback to administrators, ensures the needs of caregivers are considered in decision making, and much more.

For the 2023-24 school year, all meetings will occur on the third Thursday of each month from noon-1:00. Lunch will be provided. Meetings will be held at Montpelier High School. Remaining meeting dates for the 2023-24 school year are: 12/21, 1/18, 2/15, 3/21, 4/18, and 5/16.
