Principal Message
Our week ends with a cold morning, and everyone ready for spring. That said with next week's warm weather our playground can get quite wet, splash pants and a spare change of clothes are highly recommended.
This week we had Archery practice and 4-6 Basketball. We have one more week of Archery and then 1-3 basketball will be starting on Mondays.
Next week is a regular 5 day week. Tuesday we will have hot breakfast from Evansburg Bakery donated by DRAX on Tuesday. Wednesday Little Caesars pizza orders are available for pickup between 3-4. Please see poster below.
Registration for Kindergarten is starting please see below for information, as well as the stand alone email that has been sent out.
Upcoming school tours of Grand Trunk School
On April 16th students will be bussed over to Grand Trunk school. They will be combined with students from Evansview and go for a tour and some team building. K-3 will go in the morning, 4-6 in the afternoon. That evening 4-6 pm there will be an open house for parents who would like to see the newly renovated school.
On June 1st we have scheduled our joint track meet with Evansview School to take place at Grand Trunk school. There will be a second open house that evening again from 4-6.
Below you see the first of a series of special mini articles. As you all know this will be the last year of Wildwood School. As part of that I would like to share bits of our schools history. If you have bits of history or artifacts that you would like to share please email or call Mr. Stoyles so we can share parts of the school's past as we get ready for a new future in September.
As always feel free to reach out regarding any questions or concerns by calling the school at 780-325-3858 or emailing me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.

Alan Stoyles

JK - Work on colours and letters
his week:
We focused on letters V, W and X - Tracing and Letter Hunt!
We did tower building with blocks - by following instructions to add 1-5 blocks using specific colors. This not only was hand-eye coordination but also counting and color recognition. The students did GREAT!
We made bracelets using beads… not only is this a coordination activity as well but the students also had to tell me the color of EACH bead they put on their bracelet! Again, they all did SO GOOD!
In Music we sang Old McDonald Had a Farm and talked about what a beat is. We made a beat with our shakers and wood sticks.
We enjoyed our time in the Gym with our K/1 friends!
We colored new Binder Covers and Traced our Names!
Our favorite play time activities this week were blocks as usual, and the PUPPETS!
Next Week: Focus letters are Y and Z! This will be followed by a full Alphabet review!
Thank you,
- Ms. Y - JK Program Coordinator.

Wildwood School: Rebounders
Did you know that Wildwood School use to be very into jump rope. We had our very own jump roping group the Rebounders. While the group does not still operate there are still many found memories from our alumni about their time with the Rebounders.
If you are dropping by the school look in the display case by the gym for some pieces of our past.
FOPLS
Our students from Evansview, Wildwood, and Grand Trunk High School are coming together under one roof — and we want to make sure they have a playground that brings them together too!
The Friends of Pembina Learning Society (FOPLS) is running a raffle fundraiser to help create a fun, safe, and engaging space where kids can play, grow, and make memories for years to come.
Your support will help make this playground a place our children are proud to call their own!
Would you like to volunteer at Wildwood School?
Below you can find the volunteer package for Wildwood School. You can also drop by the school for a paper package and we can help with any questions you might have.
