New Gymnasium Opens at Grandview Elementary!
Today we cut the ribbon and opened up our new gymnasium at Grandview Elementary!
Students got to see everything for the first time today and were so excited to have a new space for sports, assemblies, and more!
Students and staff broke in the new gym with some games and dancing to get excited for all of the future events that will be held here.
After seeing the gym, they then got to see the rebuilt playground that they will be having recess on soon!
Thank you to everyone involved in this project for making this wonderful gym happen!
November WOO Awards
At this week's Board Meeting, we awarded two WOO Awards to the Bellevue Education Foundation and the Bellevue Vets!
The WOO Award (Welcoming Outstanding Organizations) recognizes businesses and community partners who go above and beyond in their support of our school district. Their partnership strengthens our schools and community, and we honor them for their outstanding commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of our students.
The Bellevue Education Foundation provides funding for programs and initiatives that ensure our students and staff have every opportunity possible. Their support ranges from classroom materials to innovative programs and scholarships. We truly value their partnership and the positive impact they have on our school district.
The Bellevue Vets is a staple in our community. They provide a space for our students to participate in extracurricular activities, and the group is always willing to support our students, staff, and families. Whether through donations, collaboration, or offering help in various ways, they consistently step up whenever we need something.
Congratulations to our November recipients and thank you again for all that you do for our schools!

Thanksgiving Stories
To get students excited for break, Superintendent Mrs. Middleton read a Thanksgiving story to each Grandview Elementary class and talked with students about how they celebrate Thanksgiving, what they are thankful for, and what their favorite thing to eat is!
Preparing a Thanksgiving Dinner
This week, students in Mrs. McDonald’s Eighth Grade Math Class worked hard preparing a Thanksgiving feast. They were required create a menu, research prices, record unit cost, number of items, and total cost for a Thanksgiving meal, including dessert, for their entire family.
The 67th Day of School
Friday is the 67th day of school, and students across the district were excited to celebrate.
Ms. Jerdon's class celebrated with cupcakes and themed activities at Bellevue Middle School while Mr. Forshey had a special chain necklace to give away to a lucky student at Grandview Elementary!
Learning about chemistry!
Last week, Fifth Third visited Ms. Baxter's Third Graders and taught students about chemistry!
Students got to create orange volcanoes and learn about how baking soda and vinegar react to make carbon dioxide gas.
River City Promise
This week, Bellevue Independent Schools was a part of the relaunching of the River City Promise, continuing the mission that began in 2020 to connect students from the River Cities to opportunities at Gateway Community & Technical College and Northern Kentucky University (NKU).
We were proud to sign alongside Ludlow, Covington, Newport, Erlanger, and Dayton, reaffirming our commitment to supporting students across the region.
This renewed partnership ensures students have access to higher education pathways and resources to build bright futures right here at home. 💛🖤

📢 KSA Results Are Live!
Today, the Kentucky Department of Education released the 2024–2025 Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) results statewide. We’re proud to share our district and school level data—and we have a lot to celebrate: 5 out of 6 academic indicators showed growth this year! 💛🖤
What is the KSA?
The KSA is Kentucky’s annual assessment for students in grades 3–8 and 10. It measures how well students have mastered grade-level standards in reading, math, science, social studies, and writing. These results help us understand student learning and guide our instruction and support systems.
