Dear Walpole Middle School Families,

As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, I want to take a moment to thank our incredible students, staff, and families for making this such a memorable year at Walpole Middle School. It has been a year filled with learning, growth, laughter, and countless opportunities for our students to shine.

One of the highlights of the week was celebrating our eighth graders at their promotion ceremonies and end-of-year dance. It was wonderful to see our students recognized for all they have accomplished during their middle school years and to celebrate this important milestone with their families and teachers. We are so proud of the Class of 2030 and cannot wait to see all they accomplish in high school and beyond.

Have a fantastic summer filled with fun, relaxation, and time with family and friends. Thank you for a great year, we look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall!

We congratulate and recognize our amazing 2025-2026 retirees at WMS. We thank them for enriching the lives of our students, and we wish them a very happy retirement.

Due to extensive construction, renovation, and paving projects taking place at Walpole High School this summer, the entire campus will be closed to the public from June 29 through August 20.

During this period, there will be no public access to any part of the high school property, including:

• The high school buildings
• Athletic fields and grounds
• The track
• Tennis courts

For safety and security reasons, fencing will be installed along Common Street, and signage will be posted throughout the site.

Please note that the Walpole High School administrative offices will temporarily operate out of Walpole Middle School during the closure. In addition, Summer School programs will be administered at Walpole Middle School.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important improvements to our facilities and look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus in August!

Attention 6th Grade Parents and Caregivers:

Students are asked to read one book over the summer and then engage in a book club discussion in the Fall. Students made their book selections in ELA class before they left for the summer and are encouraged to enjoy the journey this piece of literature will provide them. Please see the slides for all of the information. The link can also be found on the WMS website under Resources.

Grade 6:

🌱 Help Harvest the Walpole Middle School Garden This Summer! 🌱

We are looking for students and families to help care for and harvest the Walpole Middle School Garden during the summer months. Volunteers will pick fresh vegetables, flowers, and herbs from the garden and bring the harvest to the Walpole Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

This is a wonderful opportunity to earn community service hours, spend time outdoors, learn about gardening, and support our community. No gardening experience is necessary—just a willingness to help!

Whether you can volunteer once or several times throughout the summer, we'd love to have you join us. Sign up today and help our garden continue to grow while making a difference in Walpole!

This Math site for parents is designed specifically for parents and families. It offers a breakdown of the topics in each of the 8 units covered throughout the course of the year. Most of the topics have a video link built in that will offer support for students and/or parents/families when working on math at home. There is a section for each grade level course, as well as math connections. In addition, there is a section that breaks down the prerequisite skills that play a big role for each grade level. We hope this serves as a valuable resource for parents and families throughout the year.

This Humanities site for parents serves as an informational hub for curriculum topics in ELA, Social Studies and Reading.
