Principal's Update
Thank You!
Thank you to Katie Kenney and members of the PTO for leading the Norwell High School sophomores in the beautification of school grounds on Thursday for Norwell CARES Day, and to our junior class for assisting in classrooms throughout the building.
Early Release Lunch
Under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), our school is required to provide lunch to students on all scheduled early release days. Starting now, lunch will be offered on these days according to the schedule below. Please note that timing will look a little different for all of our students especially our half-day Kindergarten students.
GradesLunch Time
K/1st: 10:35 – 11:00 AM
2nd/3rd: 11:05 – 11:30 AM
4th/5th: 11:35 AM – 12:00 PM
Outside Beverages
We kindly ask that parents not send children to school with sugary drinks or beverages (e.g., drinks from Starbucks, Dunkin', etc.). These drinks can be tricky to clean, often contain allergens that put other students at risk, and don't always align with our school's wellness practices. Water is always the best choice for the classroom. If your child needs something other than water for a specific reason, please reach out to myself and/or Nurse Kristen.

Updates from Nurse Kristen
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are writing to inform you that we have had a few cases of lice at Vinal School. Please check your student's hair often for signs of lice, and remind them not to share personal belongings such as hats, hoodies, or hair accessories.
As a reminder, we do not require students to be sent home, but we will always call home to inform you if we notice signs. We do our best to respect the privacy of all students involved.
Please keep in mind that lice do not discriminate—it can happen to anyone, and it is not an indication of personal cleanliness. Lice cannot fly or hop, and they die within 24 hours without a host. It is important to let friends/teammates know if they share anything to further prevent spreading or contracting it again soon after getting rid of it.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
