NES Parent Newsletter 05/11/26
May 11, 2026

Dear NES Families,
We will continue state testing across all grade levels. Students receiving accommodations will participate in small group testing throughout the week. Please note the following schedule for testing:
- 3rd Grade: Monday, May 11th
- 5th Grade Science: Tuesday May, 12th
- 4th Grade: Wednesday, May 13th
- 5th Grade: Thursday, May 14th
Students will also be taking the iReady Diagnostic this week. It is very important that students arrive at school on time each day, well-rested, and ready to give their maximum effort. Please note that students who check out during the FAST assessment will not be able to return to the assessment. Please plan any appointments accordingly.
This past week brought many exciting opportunities for our students:
- Our 1st grade held their final APTT for the school year along with their Mother's Day Tea. Thank you to all who joined in celebrating Mother's Day!
- Teacher's were celebrated throughout Teacher Appreciation Week with food, flowers, massages, and fun!
Mark your calendars:
- Friday, May 15th: Students in 4th and 5th grade who earned first place for their 4H speeches in their classrooms will compete in the NES 4H speech competition. Winners of this competition will go on to compete in the district competition on May 20th.
Thank you for your continued support!
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 🌟
