Pink Elementary - July 2026
The Palominos Press: October 25, 2026
A Note from Ms. Hernandez
Dear Palomino Families & Supporters,
Congratulations to the Lamar CHS Mustangs on winning the Battle of the Berg and bringing home the bell! Our Palominos are proud to be part of the Blue Stampede and celebrate this exciting win with our community! 💙🔔
We also have progress to celebrate here at Pink! Our attendance has improved for two weeks in a row, and we finished this past week at just over 94%! At this time last year, our attendance was 92%, and we ended the year at 92%. Thank you, families, for helping us move closer to our 95% attendance goal!
This week, we have a challenge for our entire campus: If we maintain attendance at or above 95% every day this week, every student in every classroom will enjoy a freeze pop party on Friday, October 30! We are so close, and your support can help our Palominos reach this goal!
While the celebration gives us something fun to work toward, the greatest reward is the learning that happens when our students are here. Instruction remains our number one priority, and every day at school gives students another opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Please help by planning ahead for morning arrivals and reaching out if your family needs support with attendance.
As we close out Bullying Prevention Month, that same partnership is essential to keeping our students safe. Bullying will not be tolerated at Pink Elementary. Please encourage your child to speak up and let me know about any incidents at school so we can address concerns promptly. Every Palomino deserves to learn in a safe environment where they are appreciated, feel welcome, and know they belong.
Your support makes a difference in everything our students accomplish. Whether it’s the energy in our classrooms, the creativity in our electives, or engagement in extracurricular activities, I’m proud of the curiosity, effort, and growth our Palominos show each day. Our students and staff give us so much to celebrate, and your partnership helps make that progress possible.
Thank you for continuing to support T. L. Pink Elementary and for being part of our students’ success. Together, let’s make it another great week as we Expect Excellence and Achieve Greatness!
With Palomino Pride,
M. Hernandez
Expect Excellence. Achieve Greatness.

Important Safety Reminder: Dismissal
Keeping every Palomino safe requires everyone to follow our dismissal procedures. Students being picked up by a parent or guardian in a vehicle must be picked up through the car rider line at the back of the school. This process includes safety measures to verify that students are released to an authorized adult listed in Skyward.
Walker dismissal is for students who walk home. Students will not be released from the walker line or group to walk to a vehicle. Vehicles crowding walker areas create additional hazards for students who are walking and crossing streets.
If someone attempts to pick up a student in a vehicle from the walker line, the pickup will not be permitted. The student will be returned to campus and must be properly picked up and signed out by an authorized adult on the student’s emergency contact list in Skyward.
Protecting our students is our responsibility, and these procedures are essential to ensuring the safety of every Palomino. Thank you for your cooperation and partnership in keeping dismissal safe for all.
