Students Teaching Teachers! At the Section 1 Athletic Director's meeting, Owen Wagner represented NYSPHSAA, Section 1 and Rye Neck beautifully. He spoke to a roomful of administrators about the workshop he attended and presented plans regarding NYSPHAAÅ› upcoming Mental Health Awareness Week, May 4th - 9th. Way to go, Owen! More pics here!
Students Teaching Students: On Thursday, members of the Student Environmental Council visited F.E. Bellows third grade classes to share what the EC is all about! It was a great opportunity to inspire younger students and talk about ways everyone can help protect our environment. The Environmental Council is excited to announce an after-school clean-up on May 1—everyone is welcome to join! Come be a part of making a positive impact on our community and our environment! Civic Duty! Five members of the senior class traveled to Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES for the 1st annual Regional Students Civic Summit. Students, educators and leaders from the region engaged in an interactive event designed to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to participate actively in civic life. Students participated in learning sessions in the morning and presented their Civil Capstone Projects to attendees in the afternoon. More Pics!
Global Film Fest! International Movie Night was a big success! Twenty six students got comfy and enjoyed the best of international cinema--and fan favorite-- Bajo La Misma Luna (Under the Same Moon) and Letters to Juliet. A good time was had by all.
