Hello Parents!

If your student is starting a little later with the Enlightium Academy and they are completing a full year of work here are some tips for you.


  1. Double up on a few lessons daily
  2. Use the Suggested Schedule as a guide
  3. Know that Summer School extension is available, but it will extend the school year by a whole month
  4. Reach out to Mrs. Ustimenko for help and guidance


What is considered a "core subject" for each grade level

PreK- 3
  • One lesson in the Teacher Guide and is taught throughout the whole week
  • Usually 5 worksheets per week


PreK-4

  • Split into weeks and days in the Teacher Guide
  • Week 1 Day 1 - Week 1 Day 5 (this covers 5 days worth of school material)


Kindergarten

  • Math
  • Phonics


1st Grade & 2nd Grade

  • Math
  • Phonics & Reading
  • Penmanship
  • Spelling & Vocabulary

Complete 1.5 lessons daily

  • Applicable for all grade levels
  • Works best for PreK-3 and PreK-4 and Kindergarten


How does it look?

**Below is an example for Math. You would do this for ALL core subjects.


Monday: Half of Math lesson 7 and lesson 8


Tuesday: Math lesson 9 and half of lesson 10


Wednesday: Half of Math lesson 10 and lesson 11


Thursday: Math lesson 12 and half of lesson 13


Friday: Half of Math lesson 13 and lesson 14

  • Not applicable for PreK-3 and PreK-4
  • Works best for Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade

Wednesday: Math lessons 4 and 5, Phonics & Reading lesson 4, Penmanship lesson 4, Spelling & Vocabulary lessons 4 and 5


Thursday: Math lesson 6, Phonics & Reading lessons 5 and 6, Penmanship lessons 5 and 6, Spelling & Vocabulary lesson 6


Friday: Math lessons 7 and 8, Phonics & Reading lesson 7, Penmanship lesson 7, Spelling & Vocabulary lessons 7 and 8

Other Ideas to get caught up


  1. Complete one or two lessons on weekends
  2. Work through breaks
  3. Extend the school day by 1-2 hours
  4. Assign homework (this means that after school hours and dinner your student would have to complete a little more work to get caught up)
  5. If a student is excelling in one subject allow him/her to complete more work in that subject daily
