We hope you are enjoying your last few days of summer!

We are excited to welcome our students on Thursday, August 20th!

Orientation

Orientation will take place on Thursday, August 13th from 5 to 7 p.m. It is an open house for students who are NEW to HMS.


All returning students will receive their schedule on the first day of school in the gym.

Take the time to update your Annual Emergency information! 
The HMS cheer team will be hosting try-outs on Monday, Aug. 24, Wednesday Aug. 26, and Friday Aug. 28 from 2:30pm-4:30 PM in the HMS gymnasium. Athletes should wear a t-shirt, shorts, cheer shoes, and bring a water bottle. Please be ready to perform jumps, stunts, tumbling, sideline cheers, and dance. Any 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, boys and girls, are welcome to attend. All athletes MUST provide a recent copy of their report card, and a completed physical dated after May 1 of this year. 7th Grade Vaccinations

Reminder: All 7th graders are required to have their Tdap and Meningitis vaccine to start August 20th. If your child hasn't gotten theirs yet, this is a great resource, but don't wait. Appointments will fill up quickly.

As families prepare for the upcoming school year, Shenandoah Community Health (SCH) is offering Well Child Back-to-School Vaccine Clinics from July 20 through August 14 to help students meet school immunization requirements before classes begin. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that clinic hours vary by day, and space is limited. Important Information for Walk-In Patients: Families who are not currently established patients with Shenandoah Community Health must bring their child's vaccination records to the appointment. Please note: Non-established patients without vaccine records will not be able to receive vaccinations.
