2023 School Report Card (SRC) — Now Available
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) requires all campuses to distribute the 2023 School Report Cards (SRCs) to families by October 9. Please note that this is the 2023 School Report Card—not the current 2025 accountability report.
Each SRC provides a snapshot of Parker Elementary’s performance and accountability ratings for the 2022–2023 school year. Families can access the 2023 SRC electronically through ParentSquare.
Need a paper copy?
Physical copies are available in the front office for any parent or guardian who cannot access the electronic version.
🎶 Parker Music Department: 2025 Concert & Recital Schedule is Live! 🎶
We are thrilled to share that the full concert and recital schedule for the 2025 school year is now available! This has been a true labor of love and a mission to get important dates in your hands early — so you can plan ahead and celebrate every magical Parker performance this year.
From Strings to Piano, Chorus to Band, and (soon) Mariachi — our talented students will shine all year long across a variety of concerts and recitals.
All concert and recital dates are already synced to the Parker website calendar and ParentSquare, so families can view them anytime.
You can also access the full list of dates using the attachment below.
We can’t wait to see our Parker musicians take the stage — it’s going to be a year of incredible music and unforgettable memories!
🌟 October Character Focus: Responsibility
This month, we’re talking about Responsibility — because being responsible is like being your own superhero! You can always count on yourself to do the right thing.
Each week in October, we’ll focus on different ways to show responsibility at home, at school, and within ourselves.
October 7–10: Be Responsible at Home
Come prepared to class, bring your homework, practice your instrument, and be a helper.
Show your parents and teachers they can rely on you to do the right thing!
October 13–17: Be Responsible in Class
Keep your area clean, pay attention, and complete your assignments.
Show your teachers they can count on you to stay focused and ready to learn.
October 20–24: Be Responsible in Common Areas
Make good choices in the restrooms, cafeteria, and playground.
Keep areas clean, walk quietly and orderly in the hallways, and be kind to others.
Show everyone you can be trusted to do the right thing—everywhere you go!
October 27–31: 💫 Be Responsible by Being Self-Aware
Accept responsibility for your actions, recognize your part, and take steps to make it right.
Say sorry and try to do better next time. You can be your own superhero—
show yourself that you can rely on you!
🎉 ¡El Mercado Returns this week at Parker!
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Parker Elementary will host our annual El Mercado on Thursday, October 9 on the playground! This vibrant celebration will feature music, food, and cultural fun for our students to enjoy during the first part of their recess.
Students and teachers will use pretend “Parker Pesos” to shop at the Mercado and “purchase” goodies such as quesadillas, candy, sweet treats, and lemonade.
What to Know:
-
El Mercado is for students and staff only during school hours.
-
Parent volunteers are welcome and encouraged to help make this day a success! (All volunteers must be VIPS approved.)
-
You can find volunteer information and sign-ups on the PTO website:

Mercado T-shirts are available for purchase through the PTO website—families, staff, and students are all welcome to order!
Donations Needed:
We’re also looking for the following items to help bring the Mercado to life:
Canopy tents (with weights), long extension cords, floor fans, griddles, tongs, and spatulas.
If you can donate or lend any of these items, please email Ms. Asotelo at Asotelo@houstonisd.org.
Please label all items and drop them off by Wednesday, October 8 so we can ensure they’re returned to the right owner.
Dress the Part:
To honor Hispanic Heritage Month, students and staff are invited to wear Latin-inspired attire every Friday from September 19 – October 10.
Thank you to everyone who has helped organize and support this joyful celebration of culture and community. We can’t wait to see our Parker Lions enjoy this year’s Mercado!
