Bulldog Bright Spot
This week, Mason Public Schools is celebrating Inclusion Week, a time to reflect on what it means to belong and support one another. Each day focuses on a theme that helps build a stronger, more caring school community.
Inclusion reminds us that everyone deserves to feel welcome. Simple acts like inviting someone to join your group, sitting with someone new at lunch or offering a smile can make a big difference. When we include others, we help create a place where everyone feels they belong.
- Self-Acceptance encourages students to embrace who they are. Each person brings unique strengths, interests and ideas to our schools. Together we can help build a community where students find confidence in their own voice and share their talents with others.
- Empathy helps us understand how others feel, even when their experiences are different from our own. When we lead with empathy, we create classrooms where students feel heard, valued and supported.
- Respect is about treating others the way we want to be treated. It means listening, showing courtesy and recognizing that we can disagree without being unkind. Respect builds trust, strengthens relationships and helps our school community thrive.
- Unity brings it all together. Being a Bulldog means being part of something bigger than yourself. It’s about working together, helping others and taking pride in being part of a community that cares.
We encourage families to talk about these topics at home and discuss what inclusion, self-acceptance, empathy, respect and unity look like in your daily lives.
A New Transportation Facility Included in 2025 Bond Proposal
The Mason Public Schools district spans more than 108,000 square miles, and nearly 50% of our students rely on bus transportation for their daily commutes to and from school. In addition, students are transported on our buses to field trips, sporting events, performances and other school events and activities.
This presents significant challenges in providing sufficient space for our transportation and maintenance staff and our fleet of over 20 buses.
If the 2025 bond is approved, we will have the opportunity to create safer working environments for our staff, increase their capacity and improve our daily operations and overall efficiency.
The bond proposal will appear on the November 4, 2025, ballot. If approved, it will generate an estimated $66 million for districtwide projects without raising the current tax rate for Mason homeowners. Learn more about the proposed bond on the MPS Bond website and vote November 4!
