Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
7/30/21: Summer Greetings!
We hope you are doing well and enjoying a relaxing summer. Here at school we have been busy with summer programs, planning, cleaning, and getting organized for an exciting year ahead.
I want to express my gratitude to those who have taken the time to complete the Family Input Survey (it's not too late if you want to add your input). I have read and taken in each individual response and was also able to share the following themes with the School Improvement Team to inform School Progress Planning:
- Community events and extra-curricular clubs are important traditions
- Strengths of the school are staff dedication, outreach to and involving families in the school, and community events
- Hopes for the school year are improved communication, feeling heard, advocacy, and a return to normalcy
As excitement builds for the school year, this is what you can anticipate in communication:
In mid-August you'll receive a Welcome Back letter (packet) that will include important information and some forms to return with your child. We will also send this (minus personalized information) electronically. You will receive a second communication in late August with transportation information. We have been told we will not receive transportation information until the second half of the month. We will turn it around to families as soon as possible.

Have you 'spotted' or Little Free Lending Library?
It's by the front doors of school. If you have not “spotted” it yet, take the time to look for it and choose a book to read. Lutherville has both an indoor and outdoor “lending library” where families can come and choose a book to take to take and read. The outdoor one pictured on the left sits right by the main doors of the school and is open all the time. See the attachment for more information about the Little Free Lending Library!
