Information for Families
Dear Timberwolf Families,
Term 1 Report Cards went home on Friday. It is very important that you take the time to read through the comments on your child's report card. We have worked very hard to make sure that their progress and next steps have been clearly communicated to you. Please bear in mind that there may be differences in your child's achievement from past years. We have a new Language Curriculum in Ontario and there is only one mark that is reflective of Reading, Writing, Oral Communication and Media Literacy. Your child's report card achievement should not come as a surprise to you. If you have questions, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Attendance letters went home with all students who have missed more than 10% of the school days in Term 1. We recognize that in some situations this was the result of a family vacation or an extended illness. In these cases, the letter serves as a means to inform families of the number of days missed so that they can make informed decisions with days missed in Term 2. Regular attendance at school is critical to a child's academic success and every day provides important learning opportunities. Please reach out to us at the school if you need support with ensuring your children attend regularly.
Please help us make our sweetest fundraiser; our Annual Cake Raffle a success by baking or buying nut free cupcakes and/or a cake for the raffle. Our goal is to have enough cupcakes for each of the kids to buy one for .25 cents and also cake creations for the kids to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win and bring one home. Raffle tickets are .25 cents a piece. The Annual Truedell Cake Raffle at Truedell will be held on Monday, February 24th. This event is run by the School Council. Please fill in the form below if you are able to volunteer to make a cake or cupcakes for the raffle. All cakes need to be dropped off at the school on the morning of February 24th. Thank you for considering contributing to this fundraising event!
As always, please reach out to us if you have questions or need support.
Take care,
K. Esford, Principal
