Yes, seniors — this is it. Your final lap. Your victory tour. Your “I’m almost out of here” era.

This newsletter is officially your Senior Survival Guide for the remainder of the year. Think of it as the one-stop shop for all things senior — deadlines, events, reminders, celebrations, and the stuff you’ll say, “Wait… nobody told me that!” (We did. It was in here. 👀)

Before you email, panic, or ask your friend who “thinks” they know — check here first.

We are here to help you every step of the way. We want the remainder of the school year to be memorable, smooth, and drama-free (yes, that’s a hint).

April 27 or 28: Announcement of Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Top Ten; Honors and High Honors Graduates Posted

April 28: THS Awards Ceremony @ 6 PM (PAC or Merrell Center)

April 28 or 29: Aloha Pep Rally

April 30: Powder Puff Football Game, 5 pm-9 pm

May 4-8: Senior Spirit Week

May 5: Katy ISD Senior Awards of Excellence

May 9: Prom @ 7 PM, Texas Safari Ranch

May 14: Senior Sunset @ 6 PM, West Campus Gym/Cafeteria

May 15: Senior Field Day @ 7:15-noon, Last day for graduating seniors

May 18: Graduation @ 8 PM, Legacy Stadium

June 10: GPA, Rank, and Quartile available in HAC @ 10 AM

June 12: Official Transcripts available in SchooLinks

If you would like me to write a letter of recommendation for your college applications, I’ll need some personal information from you in order to make the letter as strong and personalized as possible.

Please email the information listed below to me at jeffreybrooks@katyisd.org. If you don’t have everything, just send as much as you can:

• A resume or list of extracurricular activities, leadership roles, work/volunteer experience, and any awards

• Your intended college major and career goals

• A list of colleges you’re applying to, along with their deadlines

• Any specific traits, experiences, or achievements you'd like me to highlight

• Your college essay or personal statement (if available)

The more information you provide, the better I can represent you in your letter.
