PTA Update from the Eagle's Nest
PTA Newsletter: Week of February 1, 2026
Welcome to February, and with two weeks until Winter Break, we hope that you are doing well battling the shoveling, snow pants, and hot cocoa refills. This Friday marks our first VIP & Me event: the Pre-K to 2nd Grade Dance. This is a fun way to make lasting memories with your students. So far we have over 70 couples joining us and we hope to see you there.
In this week's school newsletter, there were a few things we want to highlight:
- February 24 5-6 pm: Open House for the New 4th/5th Grade Building Expansion
- February 11 - report card release date
- February 16-20 mid-Winter break - No School
- March 10 6:30 pm: grades 2-5 Music Concert*
- March 12: Read before school
Because we all love the kid reminder the night before, here's the colors our kids are wearing for the concert: 2nd Yellow, 3rd Red, 4th Green, 5th Blue, Troubadours (their shirts).

- Interest Form: Share your cultural background and learn more
Bingham Bid + Bash: March 14
All adults (family, friends, neighbors) to join us for Bingham Farm's biggest fundraiser of the year! This year we are taking on the casual vibe and heading on over to Paddle + Par. Take part in pickleball, sports simulators, appetizers and dessert, live raffle, drinks and more! All equipment is provided and we will introduce you to pickleball if you are unfamiliar. Not interested in playing - there will be plenty of space to mingle and meet-up with fellow families (minus the kids and their chaos). Pre-sale tickets are required and price increases on March 3.
Stock the Lounge
Our teachers and staff are just like us...
Please help us bring a winter pick-me-up to our Bingham stars by stocking the staff lounge with delicious treats and a variety of caffeine options. Drop off an individually packaged snack, protein fix, or caffeine beverage to bring a bit of joy on these cloudy and cold winter days. Choose from an item on the Sign-up-Genius or one of your own fav's.
Volunteer Opportunities: Now to June
Each newsletter, we will update volunteer opportunities for ways to get involved in the school and see your kiddos. No experience needed, just warm smiles and a willingness to help out. *Volunteer opportunities for class parties will be sent out by your Grade Connector. In the meantime, will you consider helping us in the Library, Cafeteria, or on the Playground?
*Please note on days when it the weather is too cold to go outside, we especially need volunteers to help supervise classrooms so that teachers can get much-needed breaks!

Shop to Support the PTA
Kroger Community Rewards
Help our school while you shop. Under your Kroger Plus Card Account > Rewards > Community Rewards, you can select an organization that a portion of your sale goes to support! Choose AC809 for Bingham Farms Elementary and our PTA gets a check with no extra steps after you sign-up.
Box Tops for Education
A great way to support the school is through Box Top$ for Education. Long gone are the days of clipping the barcodes of cereal boxes or soup labels. Download the app, select Bingham Farms Elementary, and each time you shop at the grocery scan your receipt. It will auto calculate the donation and send it to our school! It is easy, and you don't need to know which food or supplies qualify for credit - the app checks for you. Now download that app while you wait for the bus, or in the pick-up gathering zone. Thanks for supporting our school, and be sure to share with friends and family too!
