House Happenings
Week #36 - April 25, 2025

Welcome to Our House
Hey, Eagle Fam!
As we close out April, STAAR testing has concluded for this academic year. With the testing window now behind us, we can focus our energy on finishing the school year strong and engaging students in meaningful learning experiences through our remaining weeks together.
Our April STAR Polishers have been recognized! A special shout-out to Coach Burnett and Katie White! These two Eagle Educators do so much for out students and staff. When you see these two in the hallway, please join me in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition.
Remember that early voting for local elections is currently open. I encourage all eligible staff members to participate in the electoral process. The district is continuing the voting competition that we won last year, so let's make it back-to-back victories! Please take some time to go exercise your civic duty and then report back to Jill Allen!
8th Grade Trip Reminder: The 8th grade end-of-year celebration trip to Main Event is scheduled for May 12th. If you're an 8th grade teacher or have been asked to chaperone, please mark your calendars. More information will be sent out to staff as we get closer to the trip date!
If you are interested in mentoring a university student teacher during the 2025–2026 school year, please complete the Google Form linked here. The form includes all the requirements and expectations for hosting a student teacher. This is a great opportunity to support the next generation of educators and reflect on your own instructional practices. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Thank you for considering this important role!
Thank you all for all that you do for #OurHouse!
Soaring together,
Jess

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for everything you have done for me and our class this year. Your passion for teaching Spanish and your dedication to our learning have made a significant impact on my language skills and confidence. You create an engaging and supportive environment that makes learning enjoyable, and your enthusiasm is truly infectious. Your unique teaching methods, from interactive games to cultural discussions, have not only enhanced my understanding of the language but also deepened my appreciation for the rich traditions of the Spanish-speaking world. Thank you for always encouraging us to strive for excellence and for believing in our potential. You are not just an incredible teacher but also a wonderful mentor, and I feel lucky to have had you as my Spanish teacher.
Cody Gomez -- Mr. Gomez, your love for science shines through in every lesson, making even the more difficult topics feel approachable and interesting.
