🐾 A Great Week at TDA!

Last week at TDA was full of festivities, fun, and school spirit!

Tuesday was Mrs. Ashlock’s birthday, and we had a little fun celebrating by gifting her “anything but a birthday balloon.” We think her smile says it all!

On Wednesday, we held our first Pep Rally of the season, and it was incredible to see the excitement and engagement from our students!

On Thursday, our campus was buzzing with activity as we hosted Flag Football and area wrestling teams for an action-packed evening of athletics. We also took time to honor our Top 10 Academic Students from the Senior, Junior, and Sophomore classes — congratulations to these outstanding Pumas for their hard work and dedication!

Also on Thursday, we welcomed several parents to a listening and roundtable discussion focused on improving communication between school and home. The event, hosted by Mrs. Holverson and her Entrepreneurship students, sparked great ideas and conversation. Thank you to all who participated — we’re excited to move forward with the next steps!

We ended the week with an engaging and informative Apply to College Day for our seniors. We are sending a BIG THANK YOU to all who came in to work alongside our students: Dr. Stephani Womack and Ali Harp of the Dalton Chamber, Counselors and staff from Dalton State College and Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Marines, Genesis College, Dalton Institution of Esthetics and Cosmetology, and Diego Alvarado. And a big thank you to our counselors, Mrs. Carrillo and Mrs. Burke for organizing this event.

🍂 Looking Ahead

We have just one more week until Thanksgiving Break (November 24–28) for all students and staff.

When we return on December 1st, we’ll begin final preparations for our Fall End-of-Course Assessments and Final Exams. It’s extremely important that students attend daily, stay engaged, and finish the semester strong.

We’re proud of all the hard work our students and teachers have put in so far — and we can’t wait to kick off a strong start to new classes in January!
