Staffing Updates
Retirements
Ann Duddy, Grade 3 Teacher - Ann Duddy's journey in education spans an incredible 34 years, starting as a tutor and then as a teacher in Narragansett from 1994 to 1997. After spending time at home raising her family, Ann joined Green Meadow in 2005. She brought her experience, her quiet strength, and her passion for education to Maynard, where she has made a lasting impact ever since.
Ann dedicated her time to both the PTO and School Council, among many other committees. We wish Ann all the best in her retirement!Angela Reyes, Grade 1 Spanish Immersion Teacher - Angela started her professional life as an engineer, transitioning to teaching in 1999. She worked in the Millis Public Schools and joined Green Meadow in 2013. As a native Venezuelan, Angela has brought incredible richness and authenticity to our Spanish Immersion program. Beyond the classroom, Angela has also made a lasting impact through her service on the MultiLingual Committee, the Safety Committee, and the Wellness Committee. Gracias, Angela, for sharing your voice, your culture, and your heart with this community.
Nancy Haynes, ABA Paraprofessional - Nancy Haynes has been in education for 32 years. She has served as an ABA paraprofessional with unwavering commitment. With experience, patience, and heart, she has supported students in ways that have changed lives—step by step, day by day. Nancy will be back with us for the first week of the school year before she says goodbye.
Cathy Hatch, Special Education Paraprofessional - Cathy Hatch joined our staff in 2021, working primarily in our Kindergarten classrooms. Cathy was new to public school work but not new to working with young children. Cathy will be spending her retirement time with her new grandchild. We are grateful to her for stepping up to support our students after the pandemic.

Summer Reading Resources
One of the best things you can do to support your child's education over the summer is to keep them engaged with books. Children should be reading and looking at high interest books and there are lots of free resources available to support this. It is also critical that you read with and to your child to support comprehension. build vocabulary, and support oral language development. Listening to audiobooks is another great way to enjoy books that are currently above your child's independent reading level.
