Welcome Back, Jaguars!
Hello and WELCOME BACK to an exciting 2025-26 school year!!!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our current and new Jardine Jaguar families back to another school year. Ms. Hopp and I are looking forward to seeing all of the faces coming through our front doors. I will ask that if you have not talked to your student, as of yet, about the new Cell Phone policy, please make sure to do that before school starts so there are no surprises. You can find the updated policy below along with a QR code you can follow for more detailed information.
If you have not completed the online enrollment process, please do so as soon as possible. You can log into your ParentVue to do this or follow the link on our school or the district website.
Again - We look forward to you sharing your students with us this year and working together as a team to help your students succeed.

Important Updates
LUNCH CHANGE
Students are not allowed to have fast food delivered to the school – this includes by parents/family members. Should parents/families wish to bring their student fast food items, they will need to check their student out and take them someplace to eat their lunch. These items may not be eaten in the lunchroom or inside of school. Parents are discouraged from taking their student out of the building for lunch; however, should they do so they are encouraged to observe the 30-minute allocation because any additional time is taken away from the instructional period.
NEW CELL PHONE POLICY
Topeka Public Schools Board of Education passed an updated policy in regards to cell phones in schools. You can read the new policy on the TPS webpage and under the Family Resource tab on the Jardine Middle School website. In regards to MIDDLE SCHOOL students - the policy now reads:
Middle School Students, Grades 6-8
Student use of cell phones and personal electronic devices at the middle school level is prohibited from the beginning of the school day bell until the end of the school day bell. Personal electronic devices are to be powered off and stored out of sight stored in the student’s locker.
Middle school students are REQUIRED to have their phones off and IN THEIR LOCKERS from the beginning bell to the end of school bell. This will be held tightly. The policy also states the consequences for not meeting expectations. This will also apply to smart watches as well.
