Fall Creek Reading Trail is Open! Fall Creek Reading Trail is Open!

We're excited to announce that the Fall Creek Reading Trail is officially up and running!

We invite all Fall Creek families and community members to explore the beautiful nature trail located behind the playground. As you walk the trail, enjoy a featured story displayed along the path. The book will be rotated periodically, giving families a new reading adventure to enjoy throughout the year.

While you're there, be sure to visit our Little Free Library! Families are welcome to borrow a book to enjoy at home or donate a book to share with others. It's a wonderful way to encourage a love of reading while building our community.

Discovery is an updated or new course for all K-4 schools. Students will learn both social studies and computer science material as outlined in the Indiana Academic frameworks. The introductory view of the Social Studies standards will cover history, geography, civics/government, and economics during the first quarter and fourth quarter of the school year. Computer science standards will be taught as outlined by the Indiana computer science academic framework. Discovery teachers will utilize the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) resource through hands-on, immersive learning. Most of the learning experiences in each grade level are designed to be unplugged. Topics covered during the second quarter and third quarter include data/information, computing devices/systems, programs/algorithms, and networking/internet.
