- Delta College Planetarium have created a single page (double-sided) info handout for those in the Central Michigan region. A copy is attached but is also available online at https://www.delta.edu/planetarium/_documents/solar-eclipse-resources.pdf
If you are interested in having one of our planetarium staff come out to give presentations about the event to teachers or assemblies please let them know.
For classes thinking about a field trip to the planetarium, they have an excellent show called “Eclipse: The Sun Revealed”. It is ideally suited for grades 4 and up. Field trip inquiries can be made to planetarium@delta.edu or by calling 989-667-2260.
New things coming to Discovery Education
Michigan's DE is going to start providing a monthly email. Here is an example of February's newsletter below! We are looking for feedback on hosting a county wide PD on Discovery Education in the fall. Please email Mark if this is something your district/building would find useful.
Last Call for the REMC 9 Regional Meeting
On April 12th we invite you to attend the day long workshop to explore REMC updates & open sharing. Think of these meetings like a mini MACUL. We are hoping to have representatives from each district, these are open to any teacher, tech director or admin in Saginaw County.
Please email Mark Lyons at mlyons@sisd.cc if you have any questions or if you would like to see the topics to be covered. Lunch & SCECHs will be provided. Register at https://forms.gle/RAwSeVTiZZYBXseh9
