Wolman Elementary Newsletter
August 27, 2026
News from Ms. Ricks, Principal
Dear Wolman Families,
What a wonderful week of learning at Wolman! We are finishing out the month of August strong and are excited and ready to take on September! It has been wonderful to see our Explorers engaged in learning, building relationships, and continuing to grow each day.
Tomorrow is our first House Pep Rally of the school year, and we are super excited! Please have your child wear their House shirt that was sent home today as we come together to celebrate our House System and build school spirit. A huge thank you goes out to Wellspring Pediatric Dentistry and Brock Orthodontics for generously sponsoring House shirts for our students this school year. We are incredibly grateful for their support of our Explorers and our Wolman community!
There is lots of wonderful and important information included in this week’s newsletter regarding campus and district news, as well as PTA updates, so please take some time to read through the sections below carefully. Our annual RJWE Read-A-Thon is also underway! Please be sure to review the flyer and information below for details. We appreciate your support as we continue to encourage a love of reading among our Explorers! As we continue our journey together, thank you for your continued support and for partnering with us toward our common goal—student learning and success. Have a great rest of your week!

Procedures Regarding Lunch Visitors
SIGN UP COMING SOON!!!
Lunch is a fun, social time of day for our Explorers! After the first couple of weeks of school, once students have had a chance to practice routines/procedures and get to know one another, we will begin welcoming lunch visitors. As a reminder only parents/guardians, non-school aged children and immediate family listed on the lunch visitor permission form are able to visit for lunch. Due to limited space, visitors are limited to 2 visitors per student (non school age children are counted as visitors). Each parent must sign up for their own seat and a separate seat for any non school age siblings.
Lunch Visits will begin on Tuesday, September 2. Here are some reminders for when lunch visits begin...PLEASE REMEMBER when signing up to include your child's name and teacher in the comments. All visitors must show a physical, hard copy government issued ID (driver's license or passport) when you arrive for lunch. We ask that each student be limited to having a lunch visit one day per week to allow all Explorers the opportunity to have a lunch visit. If you are not able to come to lunch after you signed up, please remove your name from the list. Also, please be aware that a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time ending, the monitors will direct your child to join his/her class; this helps with making our cafeteria exit procedures run more smoothly. The following steps will guide you in signing up for lunch times to visit your child and with providing lunch visitor permission. Please call 281 234 1700 with any questions. Thank you!
Step 1:
Please sign up for date/time of lunch visit here: Link
If needed...
Step 2:
For immediate family visitors (limited to grandparents, non-school aged siblings, and stepparents) who are NOT the parents/guardians the online Lunch Visitor form must be filled out by the parent/guardian BEFORE the lunch visit. Link
