Spring Greetings!

Before we know it, the days will be longer, and summer plans will be on our minds. Time flies!

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who participated in February’s Parent STAAR Night! We were thrilled to have 50% of our 3rd–5th grade families join us in supporting our Bulldogs. Your dedication to your child's education is truly inspiring, and together, we can ensure our students' success.

We also had a wonderful time celebrating Black History Month with our musical performance and history-themed hallway displays. Our staff and students collaborated, learned, and honored this important month in meaningful ways. Be sure to check out pictures and videos on the Griffin Tyler ISD and Tyler ISD Facebook pages!

Our 5th graders are preparing for their next big step—middle school! Just last week, we received exciting news: 26 of our Bulldogs have been accepted into the AVID college-prep program. Congratulations to these students on their hard work and achievement!

For our Kinder–2nd grade families, we invite you to join us for Parent Data Night on Tuesday, March 25th. This event will provide valuable insights into your child’s academic progress, including areas of growth and opportunities for additional support. The best part? We’ve got childcare and dinner covered for you! Click here to sign up.

Another opportunity for you to support our students is through our PTA cookie fundraiser that will kick off at the end of the month. PTA helps support our Bulldogs by helping stock our Bulldog Store and providing fun incentives such as bounce-houses and water games during Field Day. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support these endeavors.

Izan was selected by Tyler ISD as the district student of the month. Izan has helped coordinate our Griffin Beautification Club which helps ensure that our campus grounds look clean and presentable. He also is an exemplar student who proactively takes control of his learning while being a kind and helpful classmate to peers.

Griffin students and their teachers decorated their halls with historical facts about our nation's rich Black History. They also gathered to celebrate with song during our Black History Month Celebration!
